Throttle Body - Spacer: Installation

  1. Position a new TB spacer gasket, the TB spacer and tighten the 4 lower bolts in 2 stages:
    • Stage 1: Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
    • Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
  2. Install the 2 upper TB spacer bolts in 2 stages:
    • Stage 1: Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
    • Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
  3. Install the PCV heated element and the 2 screws.
  4. Connect the brake booster vacuum hose.
  5. Connect the EVAP canister purge valve quick connect coupling to the TB spacer. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION - GASOLINE AND DIESEL article.
  6. Connect the PCV tube quick connect coupling to the TB spacer. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION - GASOLINE AND DIESEL article.
  7. Connect the main vacuum harness to the TB spacer.
  8. Install the TB. For additional information, refer to Throttle Body  in this article.
  9. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
