Removal And Installation

CAUTION:
While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power steering components can result.
- Using a suitable suction device, drain the power steering fluid reservoir.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING article.
- Disconnect the pressure line-to-booster fitting.
- To install, tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).
- Disconnect the pressure line from the retaining clip.
- Disconnect the pressure line-to-steering gear fitting and remove the pressure line.
- To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill the power steering system. For additional information, refer to STEERING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.

Thoroughly clean all foreign material from the threads.
