Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the cooling fan shroud. For additional information, refer to Cooling Fan - Blade, Clutch and Shroud, 5.4L, 6.8L  in this article.
  2. Disconnect the lower radiator coolant hose.
  3. Push the available special tool into the fitting to release the tube retaining clip and remove the transmission cooler tubes from the radiator.

  5. Remove the 4 bolts and the 2 radiator support brackets.
    • To install, tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb-in).
  6. Remove the radiator and the radiator insulators.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
