Removal And Installation

  1. Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector.
  2. Remove the ignition coil retaining bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  3. Use a twisting motion while pulling up on the ignition coil and remove.
  4. NOTE: Verify that the ignition coil spring is correctly located inside the ignition coil boot and that there is no damage to the tip of the boot.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Apply dielectric compound to the inside of the coil boots prior to installation.
