Torque Converter Operation Concern: Always Applied

TORQUE CONVERTER OPERATION CONCERN: ALWAYS APPLIED

Possible Component Reference/Action
241 - ROUTINE 
Powertrain Control System  -
  • TCM, vehicle wiring harnesses, fluid pressure sensor, PC A, PCB, PCC, TCC, Clutch Actuator Solenoid
Incorrect Pressures  -
  • High Pressure
  • Check pressure PIDs. If low, check main control valve body.
Mechatronic Assembly  -
  • Bolts out of torque specification
  • Check bolt specification.
  • PC solenoid B - damaged, not functioning
  • Torque converter clutch seal - damaged
  • Inspect for damage. Repair as required.
Torque Converter Assembly  -
  • Torque Converter internal failure preventing disengagement, piston release.
  • Remove transmission. Inspect for damage. Refer to TORQUE CONVERTER . If the torque converter fails to pass the criteria or is damaged, install a new or remanufactured torque converter.
  • Torque converter clutch seal - damaged
  • Inspect for damage. Repair as required.
