Removal and Installation

Remove the front seat. For additional information, refer to SEAT - FRONT, 20 PERCENT .

NOTE: The top of the LH trim panel is press fit onto the top of the bracket.

Remove the LH trim panel.
1. Release the safety belt guide by pulling out the pin-type retainers.
2. Remove the 2 screws.

Pry the RH trim cover from the attachment tabs.

NOTE: The right side seat trim panels are mounted to the seat adjuster with pin-type retainers.

Remove the right side seat trim.
1. Remove the upper seat trim.
2. Remove the lower seat trim.

Remove the seat backrest mounting bolts from the right side of the seat backrest latch bracket.
- To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

Remove the seat backrest mounting bolt from the left side of the seat backrest mounting bracket.
- To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

Remove the seat backrest.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure the safety belt is not twisted prior to installation.
- Make sure the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants after installation.
