Removal and Installation

  1. Open the tailgate.
  2. Remove the 10 screws and the tailgate access panel.
  3. Disconnect the tailgate latch remote control actuating rods.
  4. Remove the 2 bolts and the tailgate latch.
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • If necessary, use multi-purpose grease spray to lubricate the latches.
