Removal and Installation

NOTE: The window must be in the raised position.

Remove the exterior door handle. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR REAR DOOR HANDLE - CREW CAB .
Release the lock linkage guide clip from the rear door.

Release the clip and disconnect the door lock actuating rod from the latch.
Release the clip.

Remove the 3 screws and position the rear door latch aside.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
Remove the rear door latch actuating cable water seal.

Disconnect the actuating cable and conduit.
Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors and remove the rear door latch.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
