Camshaft Lobe Lift

SPECIAL TOOL CHART

Dial Indicator Gauge with Holding Fixture
100-002 (TOOL-4201-C) or equivalent

Use a Dial Indicator Gauge with Holding Fixture to measure camshaft intake/exhaust lobe lift.
- Rotate the camshaft and subtract the lowest indicator reading from the highest indicator reading to figure the camshaft lobe lift.
- Refer to ENGINE - 5.4L (3V) -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS , ENGINE - 6.0L DIESEL -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS or ENGINE - 6.8L (3V) -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS for appropriate procedure.
