Removal and Installation

    Vehicles with electric heated PCV valve 

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve electrical connector.
  3. All vehicles 

  4. Disconnect the PCV valve tube-to-PCV valve quick connect coupling. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
  5. CAUTION: A new PCV valve must be installed if removed from the valve cover. Damage will occur to the locking mechanism on the PCV valve.
  6. Rotate the PCV valve counterclockwise and remove the PCV valve from the valve cover.
    • Discard the PCV valve.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
