Removal and Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
Recover the refrigerant. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSTICS .
Remove the 2 auxiliary evaporator line fitting nuts and disconnect the fittings.
- Discard the O-ring seals.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
Remove the 2 auxiliary line floor pan bracket nuts.
Remove the LH quarter trim panel.
Remove the LH D-pillar trim panel.

NOTE: When installing, tighten the screws on the high voltage traction battery (HVTB) first or an air flow loss to the HVTB may occur.

Remove the 4 screws and 1 pin-type retainer and the A/C return duct assembly.
Remove the 2 auxiliary climate control upper housing nuts.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
Remove the 2 auxiliary climate control housing bolts.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the auxiliary climate control housing.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install new O-ring seals.
- Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSTICS .
Evacuate, leak test and charge the refrigerant system. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSTICS .
