DTC P1309: Misfire Monitor Hardware - Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) Misaligned, Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP)/CMP Noise, Powertrain Control Module (Pcm) AICE Chip

P1309 - MISFIRE MONITOR HARDWARE - CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (CMP) MISALIGNED, CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (CKP)/CMP NOISE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) AICE CHIP

Description:  When the misfire monitor is disabled, usually due to the input signal generated by the camshaft position (CMP) sensor, by sensing the passage of teeth from the CMP wheel.
Possible Causes: 
  • CMP sensor
  • Damaged engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor
  • Damaged mass air flow (MAF) sensor
  • Damaged crankshaft position sensor (CKP) sensor
Diagnostic Aids:  Verify the CMP sensor is installed correctly and is not out of synchronization.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory
