Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the luggage compartment trim panels.
  2. Remove the 4 rear bumper cover inner fender screws (2 on each side).
  3. Remove the 2 rear bumper cover screws.
  4. On the RH side, remove the rear bumper cover bolt and the nut located in the wheel well area.
    • To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

  5. On the LH side, remove the rear bumper cover bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

  6. From the luggage compartment, remove the 5 rear bumper cover nuts.
    • To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

  7. From the luggage compartment, remove the 6 rear bumper cover nuts (3 on each side).
    • To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

  8. Remove the rear bumper cover.
    • If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector.
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
