Pinpoint Test A: All Power Windows Are Inoperative

  1. A1 CHECK CIRCUIT 7-AJ7 (YE/RD) FOR VOLTAGE 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504b.
    • Key in ON position.
    • Measure the voltage between the LH front window control switch C504B-1, circuit 7-AJ7 (YE/RD), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes  : GO to  A3.
    • No  : GO to  A2.
  2. A2 CHECK CIRCUIT 7-AJ7 (YE/RD) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: DDM C501d.
    • Measure the resistance between the LH front window control switch C504b-1, circuit 7-AJ7 (YE/RD), harness side and the DDM C501d-12, circuit 7-AJ7 (YE/RD), harness side

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to  A4.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. A3 CHECK CIRCUIT 31-AJ7 (BK/BU) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504a.
    • Measure the resistance between the LH front window control switch C504a-8, circuit 31-AJ7 (BK/BU), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH  in this article. TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
  4. A4 CHECK FOR CORRECT DDM OPERATION 
    • Disconnect all the DDM connectors.
    • Check for:
      • corrosion
      • pushed-out pins
    • Connect all the DDM connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
    • Operate the system and verify if the concern is still present.
    • Is the concern still present? 
    • Yes  : INSTALL a new DDM. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES . REPEAT the self-test.
    • No  : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
