Removal and Installation

NOTE:
If the supplemental restraint system (side air curtains) has deployed, check the B-pillar trim panel for damage.
- Pull back the weatherstrips surrounding the B-pillar trim panels.
- Remove the front seat safety belt anchor cover.
- Remove the front seat safety belt nut.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Remove the front and rear scuff plates.
- Remove the upper and lower B-pillar trim panels.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Check the restraint system for correct operation.
NOTE:
Position the shoulder safety belt height adjuster at its highest setting before installing the upper B-pillar trim panel.
