WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Ford Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect boost gauge pressure line from intake manifold. Apply 10 psi pressure to boost gauge pressure line. If boost gauge does not indicate maximum boost pressure, go to next step. If boost gauge indicates maximum boost pressure, inspect for plugged manifold fitting.
  2. Disconnect boost gauge pressure line from instrument cluster. Apply 10 psi pressure to boost gauge. If boost gauge does not indicate maximum boost pressure, go to next step. If boost gauge indicates maximum boost pressure, replace boost gauge pressure line.
  3. Disconnect all instrument cluster harness connectors. Inspect harness connectors for corrosion and pushed out pins. Connect all instrument cluster harness connectors, ensuring they are connected correctly. Operate system and verify if concern is still present. If concern is still present, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If concern is not present, system is operating correctly at this time. Clear DTCs and perform self-test.
