Rear Disc Brake: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the 2 brake caliper anchor plate bolts.
  3. CAUTION: Using a suitable tool, support the brake caliper and brake caliper anchor plate to the vehicle.
  4. Position the brake caliper anchor plate and brake caliper assembly aside.
  5. Measure the brake disc thickness and install a new brake disc if it is not within specification.
  6. Inspect the disc brake caliper and install a new one as required.
