Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes: Installation

- Install the fluid cooler tube bracket.
- Install the fluid cooler tube brackets.
- Install the bracket, bend the tabs closed.
- Install the bracket.
- Install the transmission fluid cooler tubes into the vehicle.
- Install the transmission cooler line bracket.
- Install the transmission cooler lines.
- Install the cooler line hoses.
- Install the nut.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- If equipped, install the safety retainer on the connector.
- Use a backup wrench to hold the case fittings securely, install the transmission fluid cooler tubes.
- Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
- Position the vehicle.
- Fill transmission fluid to the correct level using clean automatic transmission fluid and inspect for leaks. For additional information, refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - 5R55S .
NOTE:
4x4 vehicle shown; 4x2 vehicle similar.
CAUTION:
To prevent cross threading, all tube nuts must be hand started before being torqued to specification.
