Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Cooler: Installation

- Install the transmission cooler lines.
- Install the transmission cooler and bolts.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Install the radiator and transmission cooler into the vehicle as an assembly.
- Set the lower A/C condenser mounts into the radiator assembly.
- Install the right inner A/C air deflector shield.
- Install the left inner A/C air deflector shield.
- Set the radiator assembly onto the support mounts.
- Install the right A/C condenser mounting bracket.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Install the left A/C condenser mounting bracket.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Install the right radiator support bracket and bolt.
- Tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
- Install the left radiator support bracket and bolt.
- Tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
- Install the A/C line retainer.
- With the range selector in NEUTRAL, position the vehicle on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Install the lower front air dam push pins.
- Install the lower fan shroud and bolts.
- Tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
- Connect the left lower radiator hose.
- Connect the right lower radiator hose to the radiator and position it into the retainer.
- Connect the transmission cooler lines.
- If equipped, install the safety retainer on the connector.
- If equipped, install the screw clamp on the hose.
- Using the special tools, install the fan.
- Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Install the upper fan shroud.
- Install the bolt and screws on the left side of the fan shroud.
- Tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
- Install the bolt and screws on the right side of the fan shroud.
- Tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
- Connect the upper radiator hose and the degas bottle hose.
- Install the inner air deflector.
- Install the upper air deflector.
- Fill the cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
- Fill and check the transmission fluid. For additional information, refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - 5R55S .
NOTE:
Remove the mechanic's wire from the A/C condenser.
NOTE:
Do not set the radiator assembly in the mounts at this time. Set the radiator assembly on the frame.
