Normal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Mercury Mountaineer and 2005 Ford Explorer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The warning chime is an integral part of the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster sounds the warning chime after receiving hardwired and data signal inputs from the vehicle security module and the restraint control module (RCM). Data input signals are transmitted to the instrument cluster over the communication network.
