Removal and Installation

Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
Remove the 4 crossmember splash shield bolts and remove the crossmember splash shield.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

Remove the 2 heat shield screws.
Support the transmission with a suitable jack.
Remove the 2 transmission mount nuts.
- To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
Remove the plastic shield on the right side of the transmission crossmember.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

Remove the 4 upper crossmember bolts.
- To install, tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
Remove the 4 lower crossmember bolts.
- To install, tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
Remove the transmission crossmember.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
