Removal and Installation

- Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
- Release the clamp and disconnect the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing cover.
- Remove the bolts and the thermostat housing cover.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Remove the thermostat.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
Inspect the thermostat housing cover O-ring seal. Install a new O-ring seal if necessary.
