Removal and Installation

All vehicles

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
Remove the upper radiator appearance cover.

Vehicles equipped with a 4.6L engine

Detach the A/C tube from the retainers and position the tube aside.

All vehicles

If equipped, remove and discard the fan shroud screws.
Remove the bolts and the upper fan shroud.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
Disconnect the lower radiator air dam from the radiator.

Remove the nut and position the degas bottle lower hose aside.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

Vehicles equipped with a 4.6L engine

Detach the power steering hose from the clip.

All vehicles

Detach the lower degas bottle hose from the lower fan shroud.
Remove the bolts and the lower fan shroud.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
