Axle Shafts: Installation

Install the axle shaft into the differential. Using the Axle Shaft Installer (204-161, T97P-1175-A), install the axle shaft end into the hub assembly. See Fig 1 . Position the lower ball joint and install the nut. Tighten lower ball joint nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install the axle shaft nut and tighten to specification. Install the rear coil spring. See REAR article in SUSPENSION.
