Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the oil pan. For additional information, refer to OIL PAN .
  2. Remove the oil pump screen and pickup tube-to-cylinder block bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  3. Remove the 2 oil pump screen and pickup tube-to-oil pump bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  4. Remove the oil pump screen and pickup tube. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
    5. NOTE: Install a new O-ring seal and lubricate it with clean engine oil.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
