Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the camshaft roller followers. For additional information, refer to CAMSHAFT ROLLER FOLLOWER .
    2. NOTE: The hydraulic lash adjusters must be installed in the same locations from which they were removed. Mark the hydraulic lash adjusters for installation reference.
  2. Remove the hydraulic lash adjusters.
    3. NOTE: Make sure each hydraulic lash adjuster is installed in the same location from which it was removed.
    NOTE: Lubricate the hydraulic lash adjusters with clean engine oil.
  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
