Crankshaft Pulley: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
Remove the fan shroud. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE .
Remove the bolts and position the power steering fluid cooler aside.

NOTE: This bolt is torque-to-yield and cannot be reused.

Using the special tool to hold the crankshaft pulley, remove the bolt.

NOTE: If the pulley bolt is not installed, the tool will bottom out before the pulley is off.

Install the crankshaft pulley bolt 2 to 3 turns. Using the special tools and the 2 8-mm bolts, remove the crankshaft pulley.
- Discard the crankshaft pulley bolt.
