Removal and Installation

- Depower the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
- Remove the lower B-Pillar trim panel.
- Pull the lower B-Pillar trim panel toward the center of the vehicle to release the retaining clips.
- Position the front seat forward for access.
- Remove the front safety belt anchor-to-seat nut cover.
- Remove the front safety belt anchor-to-seat nut.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Disconnect the belt tension sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the B-pillar screw cover.
- Remove the B-pillar screw.
- Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.
- Pull the lower portion of the upper B-pillar trim panel toward the center of the vehicle to release the retaining clips.
- Lower the upper B-pillar trim panel from the headliner.
- Separate the upper B-pillar trim panel from the front safety belt.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
