Removing and Installing

    CAUTION: Use care when removing the roof rack bolt covers. The procedures must be followed to prevent damage to the bolt covers.
    NOTE: The procedure to remove the roof rack bolt covers is the same for all of the covers. RH rear cover shown, all others similar.
  1. Remove the rear roof rack bolt cover.
    • Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into the slot on the cover.
    • Lift up on the cover to disengage it from the clips.
    • Remove the cover from the roof rack.

  2. Remove the front roof rack bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).

  3. Remove the rear roof rack bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-ft).

  4. Remove the center roof rack bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-ft).

  5. Remove the roof rack rail.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
