Removal (Explorer & Mountaineer)

CAUTION:
The fuel pump assembly must be handled carefully to avoid damage to the float arm and filter.
Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- Remove fuel tank.
- Clean the area around the fuel pump assembly mounting flange before loosening bolts.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel pressure transducer.
- Remove the fuel pump assembly mounting flange bolts and remove the fuel pump assembly.
