Passenger-Side Air Bag Deactivate (Pad) Switch

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Ford Ranger. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

PAD switch allows the vehicle operator to deactivate the passenger-side air bag when a infant seat is being used in the passenger seat. PAD switch is located in instrument panel, on left-side of ashtray. PAD contains Light Emitting Diode (LED) that indicates when PAD switch is activated (passenger air bag disabled).
