Removal and Installation

- Disconnect the license plate lamp electrical connectors.
- If equipped, disconnect the trailer harness electrical connectors.
- If equipped, detach the trailer harness pin-type retainer from the rear bumper.
- If equipped, disconnect the rear parking aid electrical connector.
- If equipped, remove the rear bumper arm-to-rear bumper bolts.
- To install, tighten to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).
- Remove the rear bumper nuts.
- To install, tighten to 133 Nm (98 lb-ft).
- Remove the rear bumper.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Transfer components as necessary. If equipped with a rear parking aid sensor, REFER to PARKING AID for additional information.
NOTE:
Anytime the rear bumper arm-to-rear bumper bolts are removed, discard and install new rear bumper arm-to-rear bumper bolts.

Anytime the rear bumper nuts are removed, discard and install new rear bumper nuts.
