Normal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Ford Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

With the ignition switch in the START/RUN position, the instrument cluster receives power from the central junction box (CJB) fuse 28 (5A), circuit 640 (RD/YE) and fuse 27 (5A), circuit 1003 (GY/YE). When the ignition switch is in the RUN/ACC position, power is received from CJB fuse 1 (10A), circuit 489 (PK/BK). With the ignition switch in the OFF position, the instrument cluster receives its keep-alive power from CJB fuse 21 (15A), circuit 3049 (BK/LG). The instrument cluster grounding is accomplished through circuit 875 (BK/LB) and the bulb grounding is accomplished through circuit 57 (BK).
