Normal Operation

The restraint control module (RCM) is hardwired to the instrument cluster through control circuit 1632 (TN/LB). The instrument cluster monitors the air bag warning lamp control circuit for a ground signal. The instrument cluster turns off the air bag warning indicator when it receives a ground signal from the RCM on the control circuit. During prove-out and when the RCM detects a concern, the RCM provides a ground on the control circuit 1623 (TN/LB) and the instrument cluster turns on the air bag warning indicator.
