Trouble Shooting
Verify customer concern by operating system in question. Visually inspect for low brake fluid level, damaged compuvalve, engine oil filter, fuel tank, vehicle speed sensor gear, low engine oil level, washer fluid level, coolant level, worn or damaged accessory drive belt. Check for blown fuse(s), faulty relay feed, problems with the turn or hazard signals or high/low beam headlights. Check for damaged miniature bulbs, wiring harness, vehicle speed sensor, instrument cluster, switches and sensors, ignition relay, dashboard reset relay, fuel tank pressure sensor, fuel pump driver module, compuvalve, loose or corroded connections.
Verify charging system, safety belt warning chime, turn signals, headlights and cruise control are working properly. Inspect wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections or damage. If problem is found, repair as necessary. If no problem is found, repair by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX table under SYSTEM TESTS.
