Test G: Seat Belt Warning Indicator Inoperative (Chime Operative)

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect central junction box harness connector C362. See Fig 1 . Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a fused jumper wire, ground terminal No. 1 (Black/Blue wire) at central junction box harness connector C362. If seat belt warning indicator is not illuminated, go to next step. If seat belt warning indicator is illuminated, go to step  3 .
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector C808A. Measure resistance in Black/Blue wire between terminal No. 1 at central junction box harness connector C362 and terminal No. 11 at instrument cluster harness connector C808A. See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, check seat belt warning indicator bulb in cluster and replace as necessary. If bulb is okay, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black/Blue wire.
  3. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect Central Timer Module (CTM) from rear of central junction box. Measure resistance between terminal No. 10 at central timer module harness connector (fuse box side) and terminal No. 1 at central junction box harness connector C362 (fuse box side). See Fig 1 . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace CTM. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace central junction box.
