Removal (Vehicle With 2.5L Engine)
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove the accessory drive belt.
- Detach tube retaining bracket. Disconnect power steering high-pressure tube and drain all fluid into a suitable container. Disconnect power steering hose. Disconnect the power steering line and hose from power steering pump. See Figure.
- Remove powertrain cover. See Fig 1.

- Using a Three Bar Engine Support 303-D063 (D88L-6000-A) or equivalent, support the powertrain. See Fig 2.

- Unclip spark plug wires. Remove retaining nuts. Remove powertrain mount bracket. See Fig 3.

- Remove retaining bolts. Disconnect electrical connector. Detach coolant expansion tank. See Fig 4.

- Remove powertrain mount. See Fig 5.

- Hold center of the pulley with a Allen key. Remove the four retaining bolts. Remove power steering pump pulley. See Fig 6.

- Remove pump tube bracket retaining bolt, retaining plate nuts, and retaining plate bolts. Disconnect the power steering pump retaining plate. See Fig 7.

- Remove pump retaining bolts, retaining plate. Remove power steering pump. See Fig 8.
- Disconnect power steering line union. See Fig 9.
