Panic Alarm Headlight Relay & Panic Alarm Brakelight Relay
- Remove relay to be tested. Measure resistance between terminal No. 5 and all other terminals. Resistance should be greater than 5 ohms. Measure resistance between terminals No. 3 and 4. Resistance should be less than 5 ohms. See Fig 1
. If resistances are as specified, go to next step. If resistances are not as specified, replace relay.
- Using fused jumper wires, connect positive battery voltage to terminal No. 1 and ground terminal No. 2. With voltage applied, resistance between terminals No. 3 and 5 should be 5 ohms or less and resistance between terminals No. 3 and 4 should be greater than 5 ohms. If resistances are as specified, relay is okay at this time. If resistances are not as specified, replace relay.
