Removal (2WD Expedition & F150 Pickup)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. Remove radiator air deflector. Remove air cleaner. Disconnect throttle cable and throttle position sensor electrical connector. Disconnect vacuum connections.
  2. Disconnect EGR valve. Remove throttle body adapter. Remove fan shroud. Raise and support vehicle. Drain engine oil. Remove engine mount through-bolts.
  3. Raise engine. Remove oil pan retaining bolts in reverse sequence. See Figure. Remove oil pan.
