Test R: High Beam Indicator Inoperative
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Turn headlights on. Place multifunction switch to high beam position. If high beam headlights are on, go to next step. If high beam headlights are not on, locate and repair problem in headlight system. See appropriate wiring diagram in HEADLIGHT SYSTEMS article.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector C808A. Disconnect right headlight harness connector C834B. Measure resistance in Orange/White wire between terminal No. 5 at instrument cluster harness connector C808A and headlight right headlight harness connector C834B. See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, inspect high beam indicator bulb and replace as necessary. If bulb is okay, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. If continuity does not exist, replace bulb. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Orange/White wire.
