DTC P1884: Engine Coolant Level Light Circuit Short To

BATTERY

1. Check Instrument Cluster For Short To Battery  - Turn ignition off. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C250. See Figure - Figure . Measure voltage at instrument cluster connector C250 terminal No. 12 (Black/Pink wire). If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. See PRINTED CIRCUIT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system.
2. Check Black/Pink Wire For Short To Battery  - Turn ignition off. Disconnect GEM connector C236. See Figure - Figure . Measure voltage at GEM harness connector C236 terminal No. 9 (Black/Pink wire). If battery voltage exists, repair short to power in Black/Pink wire between instrument cluster and GEM. If battery voltage does not exist, replace GEM. Retest system.
