Removal & Installation: Thermostat: Removal

Partially drain the cooling system. Disconnect the drive belt at the drive belt tensioner pulley. Remove the upper radiator hose clamp at the water pump outlet and disconnect the upper radiator hose from the water pump outlet. Remove retaining screws and the water pump outlet. Remove the water hose connection gasket and water thermostat. See Fig 1.
