Front Brake Caliper: Reassembly
NOTE:
If using a "C" clamp to bottom out piston in caliper bore, be sure to use a wood block or an old brake pad between clamp and piston to avoid damage to piston.
Apply a film of clean brake fluid to NEW seal, bore and piston. Install seal into caliper bore. Install piston squarely in caliper bore. Install dust boot in caliper. Ensure dust boot is secured in groove on piston and caliper. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Bleed brakes. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
Apply a film of clean brake fluid to seal, bore and piston. Install piston seal and dust boot in caliper bore. Spread dust boot over piston, and install piston squarely into caliper bore. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Bleed brakes. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
