Oil Pressure Warning Inoperative
- Turn ignition on. If instrument cluster warning indicators and gauges are not operating, go to WARNING LIGHTS & GAUGES INOPERATIVE test. If instrument cluster warning indicators and gauges are operating, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect oil pressure switch connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and oil pressure switch connector terminal (Black/Green wire). If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace oil pressure switch. If voltage is 10 volts or less, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C2. See Figure and Figure . Measure resistance of Black/Green wire between oil pressure switch connector terminal and instrument cluster connector C2 terminal No. 10. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, check oil pressure indicator bulb and replace as necessary. If bulb is okay, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. See PRINTED CIRCUIT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black/Green wire.
