Test E: Shock Actuator Circuit Failure
- Check Sensor Connections
Disconnect and inspect shock actuator connectors for corrosion, damaged pins or wiring. Repair or replace as necessary. Go to next step.
- Check Actuator Resistance
Check resistance across shock actuator solenoid terminals. If resistance is 15-21 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 15-21 ohms, replace shock assembly. Repeat self test. See SELF TEST
.
- Check For Open Circuit 57 (Black)
Check resistance between shock actuator circuit 57 (Black) and ground. If resistance is more than 3 ohms, repair open in circuit 57 (Black). If resistance is 3 ohms or less, go to next step.
- Check For Short To Power
Disconnect SARC connectors. Check voltage between circuit 840 (White/Black), circuit 841 (White/Red), circuit 842 (White/Orange), circuit 843 (White) and ground. See Figure
. If voltage exists, repair short to power. Repeat self test. See SELF TEST
. If no voltage exists, go to next step.
- Check For Open Circuit
Check continuity of circuit 840 (White/Black), circuit 841 (White/Red), circuit 842 (White/Orange) and circuit 843 (White) between SARC module connector and shock actuator connector.If resistance on each circuit is 3 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 3 ohms, repair affected circuit. Perform self test.
