Removal & Installation (Station Wagon)

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Support lower control arm at curb height. See Fig 1. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Remove brakeline bracket from body. Loosen, but DO NOT remove, spindle-to-upper arm and lower arm mounting nuts.
  2. Remove bolts and nuts mounting front and rear upper control arms to body brackets. Ensure spindle does not fall outward. Carefully tilt top of spindle outward until ends of upper control arms clear body bracket.
  3. Wire spindle to body in this position. Remove nut mounting upper control arms to spindle. Remove upper control arms from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure.
