Test D: Shock Actuator Circuit Short To Ground
- Check Sensor Connections
Disconnect and inspect shock actuator connectors for corrosion, damaged pins or wiring. Repair or replace as necessary. Go to next step.
- Check Actuator Resistance
Check resistance across shock actuator solenoid terminals. If resistance is 15-21 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 15-21 ohms, replace shock assembly. Repeat self test. See SELF TEST

- Check For Short To Ground
Disconnect SARC module. Disconnect suspect shock actuator. Check resistance between circuit 840 (White/Black), circuit 841 (White/Red), circuit 842 (White/Orange), circuit 840 (White) and ground. See Figure
. If resistance is less than 10,000 ohms, repair short to ground. Repeat self test. See SELF TEST
. If resistance is 10,000 ohms or more, go to next step.
- Check SARC Module Function
Reconnect SARC module. Disconnect suspect shock actuator. Using NGS tester, turn on shock actuator power using ACTIVE COMMAND MODE test, SEMI-ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL LF-SHOCK:ON, RF-SHOCK:ON, LR-SHOCK:ON, RR-SHOCK:ON. Backprobing SARC module, check voltage between circuit 840 (White/Black), circuit 841 (White/Red), circuit 842 (White/Orange) or circuit 843 (White) and ground. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, replace SARC module. Repeat self test. See SELF TEST

- Check Shock Actuator Function
Reconnect shock actuator. Using NGS tester, turn on shock actuator power using ACTIVE COMMAND MODE test, SEMI-ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL LF-SHOCK:ON, RF-SHOCK:ON, LR-SHOCK:ON, RR-SHOCK:ON. Backprobing SARC module, check voltage at circuit 840 (White/Black), circuit 841 (White/Red), circuit 842 (White/Orange) and circuit 843 (White). If voltage is 10 volts or more, problem is intermittent. Perform wiggle test. Rerun self test. If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace SARC module. Rerun self test.
