DTC B1939 - Passenger-Side Air Bag Pressure Switch Low Resistance Or Shorted To Ground: Description

The air bag diagnostic monitor checks resistance of passenger-side air bag module pressure switch. Normal resistance from terminal C277-7 to circuit 57 (Black wire) is 235-265 ohms. If resistance from terminal C277-7, circuit 626 (Purple wire) to ground falls below expected range, DTC B1939 will be stored in memory and AIR BAG warning light will flash Code 39. If condition is serviced or corrected, DTC B1939 will be stored in memory.
