Cougar, Mark VIII, Thunderbird & Town Car

1. Operate moon roof until rear of glass panel is flush with roof sheet metal. Remove motor access cover. Remove motor screws. Lower motor.
2. Using control switch, operate motor until microswitch shuts it off. Center line of gear, hole in cam, and center line of cam should bealigned. Notch in cam and microswitch should be aligned. See Fig 1. On Mark VIII, timing tabs should align in window. If alignment is not as specified, go to next step.
3. Operate control switch to advance motor until cam notch and microswitch are aligned. Unplug motor connector. Using manual crank, operate glass panel until it is flush with roof panel.
4. Align Yellow paint mark on motor shaft with Yellow mark on gear cover plate. Install motor onto panel rail.
