Test C - Coolant Temperature Gauge Inaccurate
- Perform COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT TEST under COMPONENT TESTING. If sending unit is okay, go to next step. Replace sending unit if it fails test.
- Perform COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE TEST under COMPONENT TESTING. If temperature gauge is okay, go to next step. Replace temperature gauge if it fails test.
- Turn ignition off. Unplug 14-pin connector from instrument cluster. Measure resistance between Black/Blue wire at harness connector pin No. 5 and sending unit harness connector. Resistance should be less than 5 ohms. Measure resistance between Black/Blue wire and ground. Resistance should be greater than 5 ohms. If resistance is as specified, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. If resistance is not as specified, repair Black/Blue wire between instrument cluster and sending unit.
